Premier Summer Field Hockey Prep Program
The Summer Training Program offers an excellent opportunity for athletes to train and play field hockey in preparation for the high school season. This program includes both coaching and competitive games, helping players develop their skills and fitness. We look forward to working with you and your daughters to help them reach their full potential. High school coaches trust and value our summer program because it prepares their players for preseason and team selection. Many high schools select their varsity teams in the first three days of preseason based on skills and fitness tests. Our program allows players vying for varsity spots to measure their abilities against current varsity athletes from Northeast Ohio schools. Coaches can also evaluate these players' capabilities during the program. Participants start their high school preseason with two months of training and competitive play under their belts. This is especially beneficial for incoming freshmen, as it helps them adjust to the high school coaching style, which differs significantly from middle school. The confidence gained from competing against older, stronger varsity players is invaluable. We frequently see younger players advance more quickly due to their exposure to higher-level play, while varsity players are motivated to work harder to maintain their positions. Healthy competition fosters a winning field hockey program. Our programs are designed to help every player improve their skills and become valuable team members. College players home for the summer often train and play alongside other adult CFHC club members, both male and female, and some high school coaches also participate. This elevates the level of play, allowing high school players to learn and improve by playing with and against stronger athletes. In addition to enhancing skills, the Summer Training Program is a great way to meet new people and form friendships while enjoying the sport. Join us for a fun and competitive summer of field hockey!
Coaching
All of our programs are coached by positive people who value and respect each player regardless of their ability. Some of us were once players who struggled so we understand what athletes go through and the types of challenges and questions they have. Sometimes a kind word or a little praise can make the world of difference for a young player. Our coaches include former international players, NCAA D1 players and NCAA coaches.
Who can take part? All high school players, college bound athletes and collegiate players home for summer!
